my experience

It would be rude not to mention the amazing brands I’ve written for. We’re talking Southern Rail, Nkuku, Luxury Flooring, Lights4fun, Mappin & Webb, Milwaukee, National Accident Helpline, and Card Factory, to name a few.

Now, let’s be honest, those brands aren’t exactly known for turning up the heat (though I’ll admit to slipping a few cheeky innuendos into Card Factory’s landing pages…) But writing for these companies turned out to be the perfect foreplay for sex and relationships content.

Personal injury copy taught me how to address people with empathy, so you know I’ll handle topics like divorce, coming out, or unusual kinks with care.

My experience with power tools (selling them, I mean - I can barely manage an IKEA flatpack), gave me the skills to translate technical jargon into clear, engaging content. And that’s what you need if you’re marketing sextech or covering anything scientific.

Through my work with heritage jewellery brands, I learnt how to paint a picture of opulence and glamour, even for a humble leather wristwatch. Luxury brands - I’m looking at you. 

And while flooring and lighting might not sound sexy, that experience gave me a LOT of practice crafting evocative descriptions of ambience, romance, and intimacy at home. Go read my product description for Painswick Butternut and tell me it doesn’t sizzle…
